Ribotyping
Ribotyping is a molecular fingerprinting technique based on RFLP (Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism) and Southern Blot techniques. Ribotyping is mainly used in the fields of microbial strain-level identification, pathogenic microbial typing and contaminant microorganism traceability. CICC has introduced an automated ribotyping device--the RiboPrinter microbial fingerprinting system. Currently, the database covers 8,528 gene fingerprints, involving food, pharmaceuticals and other industrial fields.
