The China Center of Industrial Culture Collection (CICC) possesses sophisticated culture preservation equipment and has established a standardized management system. Various methods such as liquid nitrogen, vacuum freeze-drying, and ultra-low temperature freezing are employed to ensure the proper preservation of microbial strains. CICC primarily accepts client commissions for the preservation of industrial cultures, including bacteria, actinomycetes, yeast, filamentous fungi, etc., with Biosafety level 1 (BSL-1) and Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2). Following general principles, CICC only accepts cultures that can be preserved for an extended period without significant variation in their cultures under current technical conditions. For certain special cultures, such as those that must maintain their vitality, acceptance can be considered based on specific circumstances, but relevant matters and fees should be negotiated in advance.

Open Collection

1.General Statement:

New species represent an important category of microbial resources that can effectively enhance biodiversity in nature.They also hold unlimited research and exploration potential in future scientific endeavors. Starting from August 2002,researchers who believe they discovered a new type strain, are required to provide evidence that deposit the proposed type strain in two recognized culture collections in two different countries. This is a mandate established by the International Committee on Systematics of Prokaryotes (ICSP) and the International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology (IJSEM).otherwise the paper cannot be published and the proposed new species cannot be legally accepted. CICC can accept the public deposit of cultures intended for publication, thereby providing proof of deposition. After the paper is published, please promptly notify CICC and provide an electronic version of the paper or donate a copy of the reprints. Cultures deposited in this manner are considered publicly available resources, and researchers are entitled to free access for preservation.

2. Instruction of open collection:

1) Download the "CICC Requirements and Relevant Documents for Public Deposit of Cultures" , fill in the "CICC Cultures Deposit Information Registration Form" in detail, and send emails to sales@china-cicc.org.

2) After approval by CICC, notify the depositor, and sign two copies of the "Deposit Agreement" with the depositor.

3) The depositor sends the original "Deposit Agreement" and the fresh cultures together to CICC.

4) After the cultures are reviewed and pass the examination by CICC, they will be assigned a unified CICC number, included in the CICC Strain Catalog, and the preservation certificate will be issued. If the re-examination result is unsatisfactory, the preservation will be refused.

Safe Deposit

1.General Statement:

As a national-level Center of Industrial Culture Collection, CICC provides exclusive deposit services specifically for important production strains and research strains in the field of industrial production. This service is extended to enterprises in the food fermentation sector, research institutions, and universities. In order to meet customers' requirements for the safety, traceability, and convenience of deposited strains, the center has established a comprehensive exclusive deposit workflow. This facilitates the creation of an exclusive microbial strain deposit repository for customers, enabling the scientific management of the strains.
